Euthanasia easily ripped away by this horrible, legalized

Euthanasia is murder that promotes a bad message to the youth and is destroying the moral compasses of the American people; therefore it should be illegal. Introduction: Consider this: If murder were to be legal, everyone would be going insane. Morality would be flipped on its head and no one would be safe. When most people hear this, they would think you were insane for even proposing an idea so radical and horrific. Little do most people that murder already is legal. This form of  homicide is not what  normally comes to your mind when you hear the word. It is a more subliminal form, hiding behind an alias,  and it’s real name is Euthanasia..Argumentative point 1: It is murder/ disrespectfulAccording to Merriam-webster.com, euthanasia is defined as the act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured individuals (such as persons or domestic animals) in a relatively painless way for reasons of mercy. This may not sound at all like murder, mainly because of one word; painless. But in reality, it actually is. It is common knowledge that murder is not only unethical, but also a serious form of disrespect towards other people. Euthanasia is no different. Every human being is due a certain level of respect. This respect that everyone deserve is easily ripped away by this horrible, legalized in part of the United states, plague. When people aren’t getting the level of respect they think they should be given, they get upset. Yet, no one can see that there are already people out there who’s level of respect has already gone down the drain because of assisted suicide.  Assisted suicide or EAS,  lowers people’s perception on the value of human life. When people see this type of thing being done, it makes them think it’s okay, when really it’s not okay. The  catholic church obviously disagrees with such views. The catholic church teaches that no one but God has the power to take away life. Nobody, not even the most successful of doctors gets to decide if someone gets to live or  when someone dies. In fact the only time it is ever even considered the slightest bit “okay” is when the individual is on life support and that is the only thing keep them alive. Even then, the doctors don’t kill the person with a certain drug, they just take them off of life support and allow them to die naturally, the way it was supposed to be.     It’s not hard to argue that each and every individual person is owed a certain level dignity, but assisted suicide is the complete eradication of this firm and true belief. Assisted suicide offers no chances for life. People may change their minds.  Not to mention, these people who get euthanized  do not die in a state of grace. Obviously, a priest wouldn’t come to absolve you of your sins right before getting euthanized because it is against the church’s teaching. The magisterium firmly believes that all human life should be respected. What is do to everyone?  Everyone is due a minimal degree of respect. Argumentative point 3:Lowers the Value on human life. Putting out a bad message. Assisted suicide lowers people’s perception on the value of human life. When people see this being done, it makes them think it’s okay, when really it’s not okay. The church teaches that no one but God has the power to take away life. Nobody, not even the most successful of doctors gets to decide when someone dies. The only time it is ever “okay” is when the individual is on life support and that is the only thing keep them alive.
