The Atlanta
band Outkast has marked a huge influence in the evolution of their sound with
so much experimentation of instruments, sample chopping in hip-hop and other
musical genres. The American hip-hop duo rappers André “André 300” Benjamin and
Antwan “Big Boi” Patton has really been successful at expanding the limits of hip-hop
and experimented daring combinations of music genres and the ways to present
music to the listeners. Their fifth album Speakerboxxx/The love below is
divided into two separate discs as its title, former by Big Boi and later by
André (Jon Caramanica, 2003), it was released in 2003 and its success has been accepted
positively among critics as well as the fans and audiences. The album consists
of major hit singles which have been streamed on Spotify with a huge amount of
plays. Singles like “Hey Ya”, “Roses” have gained a lot of praise (“Outkast
Biography”). It also serves as how elements of different music genres can be created
into a collection of tracks.
